Cool! I was hoping that they'd sell some of their fiber optic cloth on their website but I guess it's still too early.

I wonder if the day will come when people will be able to watch TV on my back <g>.

I have a little Christmas tree like that.

The vertical fibers are plastic optical fibers according to the costume designer, Alberto Spiazzi. Color appears to be determined by varying the light source (battery-powered LEDs) rather than by modifying the fiber properties, i.e. the fibers used for a blue shirt would be the same as for a green one. Possibly the optical properties of the fibers are also controlled for color, but that's not clear from the technical information provided.
