I'm curious about this new data you keep referring to. I've considered springing for the qcharts with advanced options analytics to see if it helps. I can pull chains with IB but I'd like to have something that would pick the best option out all the different strikes.

Yep, statistically I have read that selling options gives you an advantage over buying them. I think I read it in "The New Market Wizards."

bought deep out of the money calls years ago on UAL when take over talks surfaced and the stock tripled or so: paid for all my other horseshit trades for years.
