I can't speak for why someone else isn't posting. Why we didn't take over all of Iraq back in 1991 to seize the oil? That's a good question. From what I read at the time, Bush was afraid that killing Saddam would lead to anarchy in Iraq and might invite an invasion by Iran or to some other unknown conclusion. Also, we weren't authorized by the UN to do so. Why his WMD are suddenly such a concern that we have to invade is another good question? 9/11 or no 9/11, WMD were a concern years ago, but now enough of a concern to invade?!? I think there's an alterior motive at work here.
