Wrong. Go back to my original post to you on this. History is replete with examples of societies organized differently... and pre-society, there is little evidence for monogamy, and considerable evidence for polygamy. (sigh) History is replete with examples of treachery, betrayal and all manner of behavior that is contrary to man. That is simply no argument that this behavior most conforms to our biological identity. It is self-evidently contrary to our identity in that where it exists, humanity does not. Looking outside of sociology for a minute, as I pointed out, the biological science give us innumerable examples across the animal kingdom to disprove your claim of 'biological destiny' for monogamy. The biological sciences do no such thing. Er, wrong! [The indisputable evidence of biology is NOT 50-50 one man/one woman for the duration of life.] If you've got such 'evidence', present it. The evidence is in your own body. You are comprised of fundamental biological contributions of exactly one man and exactly one woman. That configuration does not change at all for the duration of your life. Only one relationship has integrity with your identity and that is for your dad to remain monogamously attached to your mom for as long as life exists. That scheme is the only scheme that is human. All others are foreign to humanity. I say the evidence weighs heavily against you... And that is simply no argument. and a simple examination of the literature will show that. People will always write about the crimes they commit against themselves and against one another. That certainly does not mean the crimes correspond with their fundamental biological identity in nature. (dear me!)

Well look at the results of a strong family as opposed to the blow your seed wherever. Children raised in a close loving family grow up well-adjusted. Kids growing up in single-parent families are the ones on drugs and generally dysfunctional. All you have to do is look at the ghetto and the children there to see what the lack of the traditional family has done. In theory we can argue that monogamy is natural or not. However society has seen that the benefits of a strong family far out ways the chaos of the other. Perhaps this can change in time. Maybe there can be strong examples of the community family but I haven't seen it as yet. In Romania all sorts of evidence has emerged showing the brain damage to infants who don't get the proper nurturing.
