Remember for years folks didn't understand the ills of smoking... and currently the obesity explosion isn't fully understood either, there have essentially been a massive change in diet accross the board not just fat.

Of course... but that is due to plain ignorance and laziness to become informed... NOT because we need to regulate companies...

If you have an informed and educated market place... companies will adjust and provide products/services that will cater to such markets...

The real problem lies in the fact that "we the people" have become very, very dumb and idiotized by TV and the "dream" that daddy government is going to provide for every whim and wish we fancy...

Not so...

Along with obesity, you've got a plethora of disorders related or not related that may be diet related... or perhaps mercury fillings in teeth, even vaccinations... who knows. The explosion in Autism in children for example is the source of lots of speculation.

Indeed.... it is all speculation and proposing to "regulate to no end" is not going to cure the "speculation"

Now... I am not saying that we live in an ideal world... but it is not MORE regulation that we need or that it will solve the problems...

Imo.... what we need more of... is BETTER education... BETTER accountability by each individual to take responsibility for our own actions INCLUDING the effort to educate ourselves in what we can about our environment and our health and so on....

Then... demand that companies improve their products and services because WE the MARKET demand so...

As for Autism... I do not know much about the subject to even comment on....

But as far as watching people eat their hearts out full of Taco Hell and McGreaso... do ZERO exercise and then bitch that they are "fat" ... we need no regulation... we need a little effort to educate ourselves and an effort to go run a couple of miles everyday...

As for smoking.... well.... just the idea of holding a burning stick and suck on it.... brings these images of a retarded monkey that it boggles my mind why would anyone even try it... then plug the lung damage cancer risk...

Even if I want to be polite... the word dumb does not escape my mind.... -lol

Lastly.... the pills and psychiatrists...

I have never been exposed to such amount of bullshit and dispensation of drugs as to when I started living in the USA... I mean to this day... I ask....

How can you expect that people do NOT use drugs when millions of Psychiatrists are the first ones who promote this practice... let alone that these "doctors" ought to be put away in the funny farm themselves in the first place...

So...if you want to "win" the "war on drugsā€ start arresting psychiatrists and taking their licenses to drug people away from them... Then, and only then.... will you have a chance to start "winning" the so call war on drugs.... btw... giving the Colombian Army millions of $$ is another dumb practice... and the same goes to the American and Mexican agents attempting to stop the drug traffic through a three thousand kilometer long common border... I mean how dumb can you become ? -lololol....

the problem is with the DEMAND... NOT the supply...

And I am not promoting drugs either... I do not even smoke the standard cigarrette... my worst vice is that I drink liters of wine with gusto --but no hard liquor -ggg

Of course.... that's only my opinion [not regulation --gg]
