I would assume Tehran is opposed to the US invading.

I can't "nuke city" happening unless we've waited long enough for Saddam to have developed a bomb or two or three.

N? Given your scenario, it is very possible that n-bombs would be used against military targets. That should be sufficient to neutralize any arab army.....
If Syria and Iran would join Iraq it would not only prevent the war but most likely would make it a certainty.....
