The sad truth is this - As a kid I was sent to a religious school. While it was a great educational facility the religious teaching was rammed down my throat to the extent that it rather turned me off to organized religion. I believe in God but I will control the inflow of subject matter with my son. Religion needs to be taught and used for moral foundation with kids but in too many cases its used as a weapon by those who teach it. I wont allow that to happen to my child. I want him to understand the bible for what it is.....a cookbook to living a good, honorable life - not a book that creates division and justifies hatred of those who do not believe.

<< I am, and always have been, an agnostic. >>

Shame on you, you evil person! Keep that up, and you will never feel the joy, in Heaven, of listening to Pat Robertson's soul preach to your soul for an eternity of endless days.

In Heaven, there is no free will, no aging, no education, no music, no dancing, no cable TV, no sex, no beer; and you experience endless reruns of Lassie.

You are in jeopardy of giving all that up, for what?
