I was an assistant in a local school district (California) last year and there was a group of parents who were obviously schooling their children to bring up God and Jesus in every unscripted activity in the school. For example if there was a story telling session, these 2 kids would tell a story that somehow involved God in some way. Same with artwork, always religious. The principal told me she discussed the matter with the kids' parents, and that she felt this was a part of an orchestrated effort to bring a case against the state to overturn the separation of church and state in some way (meaning: if we disallowed the Noah's ark artwork, the school district would be sued and the case could go to Ca supreme court). Apparently this is happening all over the country right now.

How did we come to this- because a small, highly motivated group of religious zealots was given a voice in politics. I can't forgive a group of parents who ruin any sort of learning experience for their children in order to make a political statement about their verson of God.
