I agree. Another thought....kind of a take off on your point is that through NATO certain countries have not had to spend the percentage of GDP that we do on military readiness. I almost feel that we would be better served to remove the cover that we provide and let other countries endure the expense. At least they would be forced to come to terms with the outlandish amount of money thats being spent for defense. That may just be enough to make everyone stand down a little
