No war--a big hoax .....

..... has always been my opinion. I have thought Dubya was simply the antithesis of Theordore Roosevelt: talk loudly and carry a small stick. I am starting to wonder now, though, whether he may, in fact, be psychologically disturbed. He has certainly surrounded himself with some narrow-minded lunatics. The fact that Dubya has hoodwinked the U.S. public into going along with policies that are ostracizing the U.S. from its traditional allies simply demonstrates the intellectual weakness of the U.S. population. Rumsfeld's comment that the U.S. was not going to be able to count on Libya, Cuba, and Germany was arguably the most irresponsible public statement made by a high-ranking U.S. government official in my lifetime.

Turkey's latest decision is making me wonder whether Dubya will now do the only thing I have ever foreseen him doing militarily: BOMB. Nothing else! Very little risk of troops. Surgical, precision bombing. Target practice, test driving. Check out the new planes. New equipment. It's all over there. What the hell! Is large-scale precision bombing a "war?" Of course not. Target practice is a better description.

I have always been amused by the description of that altercation in the Middle East back in the early 1990s as "the Gulf War." It's hard to consider something a war when most of one sides casualties are imflicted by itself. "Friendly fire," you know.

Dubya has cornered himself. A very good article, linked below .....

..... has made me consider whether bombing or some type of troop involvement may, in fact, be inevitable. Time is further cornering Dubya. So I am now most concerned about my latest thoughts--he is psychologically disturbed. Actions like Turkey's and world protests must be heard for a "leader" to react. Is Dubya capable of hearing on a rational basis? Does he know the potential impact of his actions? I'm not sure. We all know he's shallow. The whole country's pretty shallow. What other country would elect a man president when that man had never visited Europe despite tons of money and tons of free time?
