There is never an excuse for a 70% tax bracket....Do you remember Reagan wanting line item veto power to help curb spending by your friends in the democrat controlled congress?......Malaise was the result of out of date thinking that funneling money through Washington D.C. results in much of anything positive....Reagan had faith in the power of the American public, he knew damned well the answer had roots outside of the government....
