no. gas is a big part of their business, which is helping comps, earnings, and getting some marginal people to sign up for the club (thus getting the fee). i think the market will see through this, and not mark the stock UP, but i see it as unlikely to go down on the earnings report. so sticking w/ the core there.

Last time I was in COSTCO (weekend before last) they were pretty busy as was WalMart. That could've been due to duct tape demand though, it was on the weekend of the duct tape rally....<G>
