Stock market trends always predict future economic health sooner and much more accurately than economists or the govt do. And just because the stock market accurately predicted our current stalled economic conditions, doesn't mean it is time to buy. To me, the dull somewhat leveled-off market behavior means we can look forward to more economic doldrums in the future, although perhaps no economic crisis that some maxi-bears are predicting.
