America has a number of economic disadvantages - wage scale, secular bear period, etc. Hence, it is crucial to culture our strengths. One of the most important is technological innovation. IMO instead of foreign adventures or tax breaks for the very wealthy, our federal resources should be going into correcting a R&D deficit.
