THere have not been troops there, there has not been a credible threat of force behind the inspections, and there has not been a UN military presence in the country.

Don't you think Saddam might not consider the threat of force to be credible when you have all these squeemish liberals running around interfering? Do you think we can maintain the current troop buildup indefinitely?

Interestingly, you're admitting the inspection process is "powerless" and thus cannot work.

Stormin Norman came home too soon. Another Bush Sr mistake.

You're an absolute hypocrite. You were complaining at the very suggestion we might take action without the UN. Now you're claiming Bush Sr.'s determination not to violate the UN mandate was a "mistake".

The anti-war liberals are, for the most part, two-faced on these issues, and I think you have clearly shown that to be the case.

What we have had is a fairly powerless inspection process, no flys, and crippling sanctions that punished the Iraqi people. Stormin Norman came home too soon.

I thought you would come around. What was it specifically that finally brought you into agreement with removing Saddam from power?

:-)

Al Re..We've done nothing like it ever. THere have not been troops there, there has not been a credible threat of force behind the inspections, and there has not been a UN military presence in the country.

So now you are saying it is a good thing that GW sent the marines over to Kuwait. Well, there is a credible force there now, and it only takes Saddams 10 seconds to say uncle. Saddam has called our bluff. It is time to lay the cards on the table.

Stormin Norman came home too soon. Another Bush Sr mistake.

The mistake was believeing Saddam would live up to the terms of the surrender. It wasn't a mistake to have made the offer.

A curse be upon your mustache...and may your camel buck your fat carcass...you monkey :>)

Ouch, that has got to hurt. Trying to get a PR job with Saddam?
