The latter would have meant America would have to stick around much longer than Bush Sr. intended.

Unlike what we are proposing now, without UN consent this time.

You say America got out of Iraq too soon back in 1991. Now you're thinking that America cannot get out of Iraq soon enough. Clearly you have two conflicting views, a common fault among all of the anti-war protesters you see these days.

This is a compromise for me. This idea that Iraq is a threat to America is trumped up bullshit. But I recognize that there is another view and Bush has crossed a line he can't go back.

Al is just clearly taking swipes at the Bushes/pubs.

The same liberals were begging Bush sr. to not go into bagdad in 1991...feeling sorry for the poor Iraqis that got their butts kicked out of Kuwait.

From what i see, the Dems only agenda is to undermine the current and past 'pub administrations. The Liberal media really becomes apparent at this time as well. They love covering the anti-war protests etc.

Bush Sr. laid down clear goals and stuck to them. Those goals included the liberation of Kuwait and did not include the ousting of Saddam. The latter would have meant America would have to stick around much longer than Bush Sr. intended.

Bush Sr. screwed up. He aided and abetted Saddam during the 80s, didn't take him out when he had the chance in the 90s and let the Kurds get slaughtered. There are many reasons why he did not get re-elected.
