RE:"Im Re..Saddam thinks France will protect him.
LOL Yeah right. France couldn't protect Saddam from the Russian old ladies glee club. Andy Rooney was on Hardball the other night. He was a reporter in WWII. He said it took France all of 20 minutes to give up to Hitler. If I was Saddam, would I want to depend upon that kind of bravery."

he he... Maybe not physically protect but as long as France loves Iraq not to mention Germany and Russia then Saddam probably thinks we won't move in on him and go against the U.N...

Bushes biggest mistake so far (if he IS going in) is that he has waited so long.

Giving the press too much time to make hay against the idea.

France, Germany and Russia clearly have economic ties to Iraq. If we do go in, I suspect we will find out just how large the ties are and it will be an embarassment for them.
Also cost them money.

Jim

France's quick surrender during WWII (a couple of weeks not 20 minutes) was mostly due to incompetent commanders not lack of bravery.
