"I get mad and swear so you win?"

It's not so much that you lose Brian its just that you demonstrate a low level of spiritual maturity.

The fact is that the ultimate end of the body is not dust, but to be raised, and in the case of those who are "in Christ" they will be transformed to "be like Him". That's what 1Jn 3:2 is saying plain and simple. You deny that, and in doing so you place yourself with those the Bible describes as "having no hope". The dead in Christ shall rise first! Of course the body rots when it dies, but it does not stay that way in perpetuity.

I'm glad that you don't deny Christ rose physically, most hyper Preterists would say you are being "inconsistent" at that point. The problem you have is in demonstrating that the resurrected body of Christ changed at some point. You have clearly failed to do so. At the ascension of Christ in Acts 1: Christ had a visible body of flesh and bone. The angels who were there said he will come back in the same manner.

What happens when Christ comes back? The dead in Christ shall rise first. In what manner are they raised? Exactly like Christ was raised, physically! Paul tells us;

1 Thess 4:13-18
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.

"I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead." Phil 3:10

If you want to know Him Brian then you need to stop believing lies about the resurrection of the body. I pray that you will.

Bryan(Elect), what does your Bible say about the return of Christ?

Does it not say he returns at night? Does it not say to watch closely and be ready or you could miss his return and miss out as the maidens who did not have enough oil for their lamps? Did he ever say the world, both Christian and heathen would see his return?

Is it not evident that St John the Revelator gives warnings at the beginning and the end of Revelation that the time is short?

What is it that I am not saying to open the eyes that do not see and the ears that do not hear?

James
