Why is it important to you to say "Under God" when the pledge is done?

I believe in God, but weather or not that phrase is included in the pledge really doesn't matter much. It's not indoctrinating people, and you don't have to say it if you don't want to.

However, removing it would offend and make as big of a deal in the opposite direction as you would have it in your direction, so it should just be left alone.

The facts are that this country was founded on some basic Christian principles. You don't have to believe in them, that is your right. But trying to pull them out after the fact is wrong IMO.

It's obviously not unconstitutional, so the argument is moot.
