I think it's a fairly new initiative. The logic being that at 5 they don't snicker and get embarrassed like they would at 12. They just soak it up. From what I understand they discuss where babies come from and touch on birth control and disease. I think they will be getting into this shortly, my son says they start discussing human anatomy next week. He went through my medical books to select some to bring to school on Monday. Of course he picked the ones with the most pictures...
