Maybe someone should have pointed out exactly how long Texas lasted as a country... then again, I'm sure some there believe it still is. Getting back on-topic, IMO the refugee problem is likely to be insignificant for Turkey - unless they're unwise enough to invade from the north. A Turkish takeover of the Kurd areas really wouldn't do anything for the stance of this being a 'moral' war... I'm concerned that this might be the bribe offered for Turkey to play ball.
