You're right, if Clinton had been more proactive going after Osama Bin Laden, perhaps we wouldn't have ever experienced 9/11. That fault lies with Clinton. But, the Bush Administration did an abysmal job, almost to the point that it makes me wonder if there was an ulterior motive, in defending our country once the attacks were underway and that fault lies with them. Yes, they should have scrambled planes to defend DC, knowing a hijacked plan turned around over Ohio and was heading back towards DC and knowing the WTC had already been hit. Yes, shooting a plane out of the sky is preferable to having it hit a builing in DC. The passengers are going to die either way. But, it would save more lives on the ground and show that America can defend itself from such attacks and perhaps prevent future ones from occuring.
