Urlman, Just curious......how did you go about trying to track down the drivers you need? What Dell system do you have, and what operating system are you using? I did find, in less than 2 minutes, drivers for an NEC 16x dvd drive on Dell's support file. Let me know model numbers and I can PM you the links to the files. My oldest system, an XPR 450 Dimension, circa 1998 still has supported files on Dell's web site. You might be looking in the wrong place.... kaka
