I thought your story was ... My story was that Gray Davis brought and end to the fraud and theft of the California Energy crisis by refusing to get energy on the Enron traded marketplace and getting it through longterm contracts instead. It was expensive, but not nearly so expensive as if the state were still being scammed by artifical shortages and payments for rebalancing the grid and phony plant maintenance. As a result there are hard economic times in California, just as there are in Texas and many other places. That naturally makes the good people of the state frustrated and annoyed that the prosperity of the Clinton years has all been squandered. TP
