Tell them you're Estonian. We'll have a few years peace while they try to find anyone non-Soviet with a grudge <g>

They are dying to know my nationality so they can read up on what....

I think it's more they want to know "what side your on". If you're on the wrong side, that's good! Then they can automatically disregard anything you say because "you're one of them."

You are doing the right thing. Don't tell people any more than you are comfortable telling them. Certainly don't let someone bait you into revealing things that you might regret later.

All sorts of things have a bearing on our views- our parent's socioeconomic group, and education level, and our own education and income. Our religion and race are probably demographic factors that might help "explain" our POV, along with numerous other details about our lives- but to hound someone about sharing those details seems pretty creepy to me.

Stick to your gun-substitutes (I do not wish to in any way advocate violence :-)

We all see that the issue of invading Iraq is a major international issue. Everyone in the world regardless his/her citizenship has the right to voice an opinion. At the same time we see some so called "Americans" are yelling and pushing for the interests of a foreign country rather than for the U.S.'

you told me once there had been approximately 10,000 deaths due to terrorists in your country over the past 10 years...

i'll guess you are from angola....just a guess and if i am right i would not expect you to acknowledge it (but somehow i think you will tell me if i am wrong <g>)

not that i care where you are from, but i certainly think it sheds light on your perspective.

and if the history of your country wrt its inability to deal with terrorist attacks at home is true.... i can certainly understand why you would take up residence in monaco.
