I've always suspected those kind of "estimates". First off all the troops get their pay either way, ships would be on maneuvers if not in the Gulf, planes would be being flown in training if not in the gulf and on and on. The ACTUAL out of pocket is probably not much. I imagin the cost of erecting facitlites and all is about it. jdn

Also the cost of KEEPING 100,000-250,000 troops in Iraq afterward. Ouch.
