Bush's only way to recover now in the eyes of the world and US is to put Powell on the frontlines, and go back into the fold and (most important) JUST SHUT UP. Whatever Powell can come up with - even if it neans no war and the US saying we're sorry to the world, we should just do it, because every day this mess gets worse and Bush has no ability to correct the situation- he just makes things worse. This is irrespective of the economic consequences of his presidency which have been horrible.
