I like Bush a lot and I like him better than his dad. I really don't know if Clinton could have done anything, but he should have tried to reign the market in. There is absolutely nothing wrong with deficit spending during recessionary times and it is in fact the correct thing to do. As I recall, I think FDR increased the national debt 15x. Hard times didn't prevent him from entering what he believed was a necessary war either.

Mr AS,

Exactly how much effect do you think a president and his policies actually has on the economy? Do you think Bush's measly $300 tax refund actually affected the deficit? Do you ever use logic, or do you like to just use the tired headlines of the day.. like Bush has been bought by the Oil Lobby...Bush is a Cowboy..He's really stupid. Did you actually see his press conference last week? Clearly he has a vision and sleeps well at night because he is his own man. Unfortunately many folks like you are poor judges of character and can't realize an honest, decent man, who was born to be a leader, but are often dazzled by slick talking pols who "feel our pain" and merely talk a good game. Clinton could have been a brilliant president, but for his sociopathic character flaws.

Good luck, AS, its going to be frustrating for you libs the next 6 years.

AS,
re:Would you vote for Kerry-McCain

Why does a liberal like Kerry need a moderate for?

I know the answer is scary, but admitting you have a problem is the first sign of recovery.

McCain is worse than Lieberman. He is a republican acting like a democrat. No one will vote for him now.
