Unfortunately, our UN mandate did not permit us to "help" the Kurds. I think the Iraqi people are understandably angry that we weren't there when they needed us, the reality is that we were bound to do precisely what the UN authorized and no more.


If our UN mandate did not "permit us to help" the Kurds, why then did the CIA encourage them to revolt and promise assistance to them? I am tired of you playing this argument both ways.

Unless you can present a reasonable argument to the contrary, the truth is Bush Sr. plain fukked up!
