And if you are going to slaughter innocent civilians for whatever reasons, there are going to be serious repercussions no matter where you are.

Out of curiosity, how will you check that everyone killed in Iraq is guilty of this slaughter before bombing them?

Or does this noble statement only work when it's Western (well US) citizens who are killed? Which is more understandable but rather less noble...

And I suppose that we were to turn the other cheek?

I would have preferred another piece of the anatomy - the brain. Rather than behaving like some nineteenth century Texas sheriff, the "Dumbo from Dallas", if he was a little brighter, could have avoided the Bin Luddite trap. Why do you think Bin Luddite was so upset? We were winning. The Islamic culture was reeling under assault from the west. We could have had a victory in this culture war, as long as we kept our troops out, and our music in. But noooo! That's not what Eisenhower's military-industrial complex needs. Use the military, even though it's the tool that guaranties defeat. This is a culture war. It’s more like seduction. You can’t use force and win. Think of sex. Is rape victory? The only way Bin Luddite wins is if we do exactly what we are doing wrt Iraq. – invade the umma.
