OK, we can probably find some common ground here if we work at it. First of all regarding, "Islamic Countries;" there aint none. I could get shot for saying that in some quarters, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Every one of the Middle Eastern states is as corrupt as they come. The people who live under the despotic tyranny are the usual mix of decent and scum. The governments that are dictatorship are just that, dictatorial. You could use Fulgham's "All I really need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" as a doctrine and it wouldn't come out any different. Do guns kill people or do people kill people? Does religion kill people or do people kill people? Solon's rant was a mixture of hatred of the culture, the people, the nations, and the religion. I commented on the false statements about the religion. I didn't like my neighbor who speaks only Spanish, drinks Cervesa constantly with his buddys and generally avoids eye contact. One day he was locked out and it was cold so I invited him in to my place for warmth until his buddies got home. I have gotten to know him and; as I got to know him I realized that to know him is to love him. I shouldn't have hated him for the stupid differences that I really don't have time or interests in knowing much about. To know Islam is to love Islam but it does't happen by watching CNN or listening to the solon's of the world. You may not have time or an interest in making that effort but; is jumping on the bandwagon of hate really justified? Regarding what we don't do (currently) when people go to judgment: There is plenty enough to say about what we do that stinks. Talked to any divorced fathers over the last ten years or so? Most of them think the loss of their parenting rights stinks. Its apples and oranges to say, "well at least we don't (fill in the blank. Its like skinny and fatty calling names. What the Egyptians did stinks, and there are a cagillian other stupid, unjust, stinky things going on...there and here. The Islamic religion teaches fairness in judgement. There are very strong doctinal passages that say, for example: that a Jew who is your enemy should not recieve different consideration than someone from your own family when before you in judgement, and if the Jew is right, your judgement should go against your family member. Well...that's the religion. I'll let you know when I find an "Islamic Country."
