Hawk, I think you're a bit off if you think soldiers want war more than peace.

PT.. I think I'm a bit more qualified to answer that than you are (unless you spent 14 years in the military).

I can tell you that friends I have still in the military are just fed up with this crap... They are not eager to go to war, but that's what they were trained to do and they know how to do it pretty damn well..

And given a choice of sitting on their @sses or going to Baghdad, I'll lay you 10 to 1 that they would choose "going to Baghdad"....

Because the sooner they get to Baghdad, the sooner they can come home... And that's the way it has always been with American military mentality.. Get the job done so we can go home...

They would be more than happy to be brought home and reunited with their loved ones.

I seriously doubt you'd find many in the military who'd be willing to make excuses for Saddam as you have....Our men and women in the armed services understand the job they have to do, the reasons for it, and are ready to do the job as called for.....
