France and Russia certainly aren't taking into consideration that the US will go to war with or without their consent, and will surely win. The Iraqis that will decide on their oil contracts almost assuredly aren't going to look so kindly on French and Russian intransigence in the UNSC. The winners get the spoils, and they are setting themselves up to be big losers.

Unless they think the US is going to pull weight for them? LOL!

It is indeed, FL. It was pretty brave of him to say that to the media, IMO. Certainly in view of some of the events that have happened recently in Russia and Europe. People seem to be wounded, assassinated, or just disappear for less than that over there.
