It takes the US military about 2 months to prepare for war in a complete manner, according to the books. I've been saying this for most of a year now, and the savants who thought that the figure was 2 weeks have had their predictions of war by [insert date in past here] fail over and over.

The Turkish front is history, and everyone knows this. Go do a search on the .mil websites for "readiness level" and find out for yourself:

The fact that there are still ships out there is because they haven't figured out where to send them yet. That March is half over and still no ultimatum from Bush should be enough of a clue that the military plans are seriously disordered.
