'Tis a good question. Do you know the answer?

Could it be perhaps certain forces wanted Iraqi oil off the market? Or maybe the GOPside had Clinton bogged down with other things, and he couldn't give Saddam quality time?

It's clearly obvious that had he complied early on, the inspections would have ended, the sanctions would have been lifted and he'd be exporting oil to a point where he'd have have 300 billion dollars today with which to take over the whole world. So why didn't he? He does wanna take over the whole world, doesn't he? I mean what are we fighting for?
Is it possible that we just wouldn't let him comply?

Again, I don't know the answer. But I do know if I were sitting on 15 billion and I could turn it into 300 billion, I would. Wouldn't you?
