thats because they already finished the outsourcing dump of R&D to india. Once these companies do that, then options are no longer an issue since R&D is where all the options go. Believe me Oracle was arguing against options with all the rest of them when they had US R&D.

There are all kinds of anecdotal little snips you can find with self serving comments from both sides. All I can tell you is, some firms like Cisco feel they need options to survive. I also feel they need options to survive, unless they dump R&D. If they repeatedly post loss after loss, quarter after quarter due to some technicality wrt options "expenses" it will affect their position in the financial industry, so that isn't an option really.

The best thing would have been to leave these companies that choose not to expense options alone- you and your options hawk friends can just buy BRKa and leave the tech investing to people who know or care about tech. Instead you have to bring everybody down.
