I'm sorry but when everyone seems to be saying a venture will be cake; that we can take out someone in 2-3 weeks; its as easy as a walk in the park......that's when I get really nervous.

I'm sure you can understand that the liberals were all running around in a panic before the Gulf War, telling us about tens of thousands of Americans coming home in body bags. The war was over in 36 days or whatever.

The liberals have been paniced about this now for six months or more. It is the nature of liberalism to blow these things out of proportion, at least when there is a Republican in office. Just relax, and let the people who know what the hell is going on drive the bus. You can drive when it is something liberals are good at (like a performing arts event, maybe).

tejek,

re:I'm sorry but when everyone seems to be saying a venture will be cake; that we can take out someone in 2-3 weeks; its as easy as a walk in the park......that's when I get really nervous. It comes from past experiences, and so I can't help but be a little skeptical.

I know, the good thing is I doubt the military is planning for a picnic.

We will have no trouble outside the cities. Our concerns for civilians will impact our ability to fight within the cities. Hopefully, we have "new" plans to counter Saddams house to house fighting as we did his desert positions in the first war. I love the comments from the Iraqi generals who said we didn't fight fair during the first war since we went around his fortifications instead of head on like we were supposed to! <g>

The "good" thing about chemical attacks in a city is that the Iraqi's would most likely be committing suicide as gas is somewhat unpredictable in who it will kill or which direction it will go.
