re: UN RIP.... how ready we are to write off..with relief, this institution created at the end of World War Two...There is a line from a popular song: "you don't know what you've got till it's gone" ...I believe that the UN deserves our support as the only forum that allows all nations to have a voice..even if we don't always agree with what takes place there. UN peacekeepers have done a remarkable job over the last 50 years; UNICEF has helped millions of children around the world..the list goes on. The UN does need reform and perhaps the current situation will hasten that process...if the world is in fact a global village then the UN can be its town hall...not a bad idea.
