I agree about Feinstein. Boxer is a little too far left for my taste. However, I've soured on Davis. I just don't think he has any vision. His politics are day-to-day, as are his decisions. CA is in a huge bind with the deficit, and working our way out will take years. He has not been the leader he could have been.

Feinstein would be a great governor, but she's comfortable with what she has. As with Powell, she aspires to serve but won't put up with the BS needed to take the top job. Our system seems to discourage statesmen, and encourage those who can work the camera.

Governor Davis is an incompetent boob and a congenital spendthrift. Senator Boxer is also incompetent - you should watch C-SPAN while pages giggle in the background. The other Senators take money from California because they're easy pickings. I enjoy watching Barbara Boxer whine about baby seals while our Senator Kennedy pulls down the big bucks for the Big Dig. I admire that fat blowhard (no party affiliation). I even like Senator Kerry because he's a pretty damn good surfer.

By the way, every other governor in the nation is laughing at Davis's stupidity. What a sucker. Now he has to dig himself out of his own political grave. I don't hate Davis - he's just naive like yourself.
