1. The number (65,000)has been cited by those who oppose the war and the sanctions against Iraq. It is a reliable figure and if anything, probably understated...

2. I don't believe Iraq has nukes...just a desire to acquire them and some of the building blocks intended for that purpose....however, we won't know for sure until we take out Saddam. We have been wrong about his nuclear capability before....

The 65K number can be made true and factual for a period of time, particularly for American public. The actual numbers including those suffering long term illnesses from depleted uranium, biochem, and psychochem weapons are always subject to who does the numbers and for which audience. It's all part of the politics of numbers game that don't carry any meaning or value except at election time.
