In examining that issue, I read it as a staff error that was not adequately tracked down in a timely fashion.

It was tracked down to give specific citations of IAEA reports and specific dates and titles of stories that allegedly cited the UN report.....three times in not a staff error. And to suggest that it is a staff error knowing those facts, one would have to be a liar.

Are you referring to Bush saying Iraq would be a nuclear power in 6 months according to a report by IAEA, which the Agency later said never existed?

Could you tell me what kind of 'staff error' this is?

Someone was caught lying here. If it is not Bush, then it is certainly someone who provides him crucial information, someone from his team. He should be sent flying out of the Administration.

Until that day, responsibility lies with Bush in my eyes. He quoted a report that did not exist. That is hardly a 'staff error', Neocon.
