Honestly AS, it would be nice if you could just ever see through the smoke of the Clinton era, and realize that yes, that time period was an absolute boom economically, but that the loose and irresponsible fiscal policies that led to the boom are also the main reason we are in the economic turmoil we are currently in. At the market peak, and ever since, you have not grasped how the debt expansion and "easy" money that was not kept in check during the Clinton era, is the root of the problem. You earlier tried to mention how Bush will be blamed for the bust in Real Estate if and when it happens, yet it was during the Clinton era that the boom began. Granted, it has not stopped yet, but once in motion I'm not sure how one could slow the boom down without crashing. Kinda like trying to put a supertanker in reverse after it reached full forward speed. I just hope that the situation can be slowed before we crash real hard.
It is unfortunate that W will be at the helm as the excesses of the '90's are worked out because those like you will not be able to see the cause, just who was left to clean the mess up.
And to try to say that Clinton was the most successful president in history, obviously, no matter how you try, MUST ignore what was possibly the worst foreign affairs policy (or maybe a better way of saying it is NON policy, since his favorite answer was to ignore foreign issues) of any president in history.
As far as the man, well hey, gotta respect the fact he could get the women, but he seemed a bit lacking in the morals, conviction and integrity departments eh?

Here's hoping Johnny "Chung" Kerry will give a stirring rendition of "Irish eyes" in honor of his heritage on St.Paddy's Day.
