i understand he has his lapdogs... i don't think it's arrogant to "expect" (not assume) a win....i think the expectation comes from the knowledge of our overwhelming force. as long as we are willing to use it...i have no doubt we will win on the battlefield. and i disagree with you....saddam is not insane, but he is from what i have read a narcissist of the type that has little or no regard for the lives of others. he is ruthless, no doubt, but he needs his inner circle and a willing cadre of generals to sacrifice themselves for what??? his victory? no. he's going to lose militarily, the question is how many can he take down with him...and whoever goes down with him, will have to do it willingly.
