I remain wholly perplexed as to why France would play the "veto card This is all about France and its own aspirations with respect to its position in the EU and the world; NOT about any true opposition to the removal of Saddam. True, they have financial interests in Iraq. But the real motivation is related to their discomfort with having the U.S. as a sole superpower. IMHO.
