I got no problems with getting rid of saddam, I have problems when people try and paint it as we are doing it for the iraqi people.....thats the creative spin on this war.

Ah who are we kidding....calling this lop sided battle a war is doing an injustice to the word war. After all they didn't call Grenada or Panama wars. Right now its not even good TV......I wonder how long CNN can continue showing videophone images of American Tanks going full tilt through an empty desert. I think the coverage belongs on the Outdoor Life network at this point.

The core issue of our time is the increasing concentration of power in the hands of a small clique in Washington DC, leaving some six billions of us without any form of representation or protection from the whim of this ruling group

The UN is 'dictating' to us? - no, it is not the UN that has a one-way 'free-trade' imposed on British Columbia, it is not the UN screwing prairie farmers with huge subsidies south of the 49th, it is not the UN curtailing civil liberties or deciding in back rooms who will live and who will die

Is the UN a 'farce' as currently constituted - sure it is
Is the answer to destroy all hope of democratic representation - i don't think so, mon ami

I love spin. Listening to Ari Fleisher press conference in the car on the way home and I kept waiting for someone to ask him to speculate on reasons why Hussein with nothing left to lose had not tried to unleash some WMD. If I were Saddam I would. Out of character don't you think ?

Yeah the UN is weak. Are the US any better.

That peace link was interesting. Myself I'm already on record. I prefer we have nukes and a strong military BUT the SAME foreign policy stance. You never know what you've got till it's gone..
