True. But that was when Saddam threw out the inspectors, so at least we wouldn't have had to listen to all this rubbish about how Iraq hasn't done us any harm, the war is pure pre-emption. If Bush had been President, I doubt he would have taken Kofi Annan's face-saving deal that let Saddam off the hook. But it's pure speculation.

yes and bush was negligent pre-9/11 as well. Good point Ken. Something Nadine and I need to hear on occasion but also something the folks on the right need to take into account when they go off on Bush for a myriad of pre-9/11 foreign policy mistakes. The gaffes and the slights did not help. Some feel(not me) that much of our UN problem was pique at US slights.eg. Russia/ABM, Kyoto etc. Mike
