whither Syria??

its true Syria will feel isolated; its also true that the fractured alliance called the Arab League will find new impetus to come together. Under the right leadership; Egypt, Syria, Libya, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan (with its nukes), and a a few other Islamic states could form a NATO like alliance against Israel and the US. Jordan might join this group since King Abdullah has publicly expressed his disgust at the American invasion of his neighbour. An alliance of this magnitude, backed by enormous oil wealth, could prove to be the single biggest legacy of the 2003 Iraq War...and a big problem for the US.
