Bill,

I also think the anti-war crowd has issues, but the level of virulence in your posts does not help your arguments.

Karen is right in saying it is analogous to a 'have you beat your wife recently' argument.

Bill,

As someone who totally supports the war on Iraq, I would like you to know that I totally reject your ideas in your recent posts. They do not reflect the principle of freedom being worth fighting over. You just want your own tyranny.

We agree about the war on Iraq but we are not on the same side.

Paul

Enough already with the vituperation, Bill. If it's necessary for you to spit this stuff out to get through the day, please do it someone else's lawn.

Bill, Dennis is a fantasy writer. It's traditional to demonize and dehumanize the opposition. Here's why it's fantasy [I can't be bothered reading the rest of the malevolent fantasy world he creates which doesn't exist].

<And who wouldn't want to give this fine form of human sport a chance to flourish: Forcing gasoline down a man's gagging throat and then putting a match to his mouth and watching his body explode?>

If somebody swallows petrol [gasoline in American], then the residue around their mouth is lit, their body doesn't explode. They get a burned face. The "exploding body" is completely ignorant nonsense written by a liar or fantasist.

Neither do I believe all the stuff about torture of various kinds. I dare say there has been plenty of torture, but lurid exaggeration is silly and dishonest.
