The Canadians are torn but generally are anti-Bush.

Doesn't help when right-wing pundits attack Canada all the time and make fun of them for being "weak". True, Canada was too liberal on Arab immigrants, but we weren't exactly great in that department either. Not even during Bush's first year when Mohammed Atta and his boys were all given visas. Post 9-11 everything changed. Now the Canadians are tougher too.

Queen Elizabeth is Queen of Canada..and that is about it. The current prime minister, Jean Chretien is a francophone hence he may have "rapport" with the French leader. But people from Quebec don't feel any special ties to France..colonialism died out here decades ago. I was in Paris last summer and Parisians are just as rude to Canadians as they are to everybody else.
