Proverbs 16:18 ¶ Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. This is not going to be the 'walk in the park' the USA expected it to be.They should have finished the job last time around. When the world could see Iraq was to blame for attacking Kuwait Now the coalition forces are going to pay a very dear price. Political support has weakened to the point that even Canada is not sending in their 2 sinking ships and self-destructing helicopters. Not sure Canada's military budget allowed enough to pay for the gas to get there. Demonstrations abound and as far as the propaganda game... I think that Iraq is winning that one. USA is being viewed as wicked Goliath NOT as a defender of righteousness. What a mess. Some of this, to try and restore Israel and fulfill misbegotten eschatology. Where is the Palestinian state that was promised? It is illegal to preach Christ in Israel... they are enemies of Christianity not allies. Matthew 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. What a mess. This is going to get real ugly. John 16:33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 8:23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Many still waiting for a millenium of peace to occur after satan wins over the world and has his hayday!! What is all that about? Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. God's best to you James... We struggle in many ways to overcome the "cares of this world" but we must not look to this 'plane' for our peace or comfort. Our allegiance is to Christ and His truth and not to country or family. It is beyond me - when I think of those who went before us and suffered watching persecutors in the 'name of god' torture and kill their children expecting them to recant. I thank God that we are not subjected to such things in the West but it is worthy to note that in the last 100 years their has been more people killed for their faith in Christ than all the other generations added together. Iraq is Anti-Christ state but so is Israel (lesser degree) ...perhaps in many ways so is the USA and Canada. Afghanistan and other states still put people to death for 'blasphemy' if they confess that Jesus is more than a prophet. I wish I could say that those who profess Christ are not of such a wicked spirit but accusations of 'blasphemy' and 'heresy' ring also from the mouths of those who insist on setting up 'Christ's Kingdom on this Earth' Zealots - dangerous individuals - Islam and 'christian' alike. Waiting to beat their swords into plowshares and the spears into pruninghooks through their gritted and angry teeth. Vengeance they cry!!! 911 pay back time !!!Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Pray for peace.... but expect more war. God Bless you James - keep your chin up Jesus said.... I have overcome the world. Paul said.... Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Our Kingdom is NOT OF THIS WORLD Hebrews 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
